Mark Harris is based in Kansas City, and teaches Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country, and Wedding dancing. Mark has won many "Top Teacher" awards, and is the 2011 ACDA Top Male Teacher of the Year! | ||||||||||
| Mark is Certified by the N.A.D.T.A., accredited by the National Teachers Association, was a Judging Coordinator for the Oklahoma/Kansas State Swing Dance Association, and is a former State Director of the NTA (National Teacher Association). |

Mark, and his wife Mary, have won First Place in several Country Dance competitions, and are 2011 American Country Dance Association National Champions! They have also won many titles in Swing, and were 3rd in the Nation on the 2006 Masters Tour (Masters National Swing Dance Championships.) | ||||||||||

Mark is a U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships Award Winner, and an Eight time State Swing Dance Champion. He, and former partner Glenda Evans, won several 1st Place titles, and were 2nd in the Nation on the Masters Tour in 2007 & 2008, missing 1st Place in 2008 by one point. |

Mark & his students, helped Walters Dance Center win Top Studio (Out of State) at the 2008 Nebraska Invitational Ballroom Championships! Mark enjoys working with children and taught one of the first Ballroom classes for children in Kansas City elementary schools. You can read the Kansas City Star Article about those classes. Mark was also a featured dancer in the feature film, "Blog, The Movie." | ||||||||||
| Mark has experience coordinating events. He manages Walters Dance Center (one of the most popular dance studios in Kansas City), and was a Co-Event Director of Dancin' Up A Storm For The Shrine Hospital For Children, the Heartland Dance Festival & KC Swing Challenge. Mark was also the instructor for the Cow Town Swing Dance Club and the Topeka Swing Dance Club. | |||||||||||
| Mark is also a popular and experienced DJ. Most of his Disc Jockey business comes from referrals. Mark has played for numerous wedding receptions and parties, and plays weekly Ballroom & West Coast Swing dances in Kansas City. He enjoys entertaining people and is a popular DJ & Emcee, having worked at a wide variety of locations including being the DJ at the Music Hall for the Kansas City Philharmonic's "Club Swing"! | |||||||||||
| Mark has DJ'd at many dance events, including the Circle City Classic, the Heartland Dance Festival & KC Swing Challenge, the Mid-USA Jack & Jill (Detroit), Dancin' Up A Storm for the Shrine Hospital for Children, the Ozark Dance Festival, the Oklahoma-Kansas Swing Dance Championships, the Michigan Dance Classic, the Ft. Wayne Showdown, the Grand Prix of Swing, and Tulsa Spring Swing. | |||||||||||
